Meet Your Therapist
Eddy Lee, MSW, LCSW
Psychotherapist
Hi! My name is Eddy and I am humbled to work with men of color in Oakland and the greater Bay Area.
You may have landed on my page because you feel that no matter how much effort you have put into yourself (currently or in the past) you can’t “shake” the feeling that still you don’t have the best relationship with yourself, others, or with your romantic partner. This can look like cyclical patterns that are not serving your best self-interest and seemingly impossible to disrupt or an internal voice telling you that you are not good enough or undeserving.
As a first generation Asian American to an immigrant family, raised by a single mother in a underserved socioeconomic community (the “hood” to some); I innately the understand the challenges and impact that trauma, depression and anxiety can have especially being in “survival mode”. This reality shrouded the truest version of myself until I decided to garner the tools to disrupt a conditioned masculine narrative/ framework and work towards my most authentic self.
I help men of color build emotional resilience and develop healthier coping mechanisms so they can stop feeling disconnected to themselves and others, and most importantly, be the husband/partner they want to be.
